Why It Matters
Players need a home base
College baseball players travel from across the country to play summer ball in the Ohio Valley League. They live with local families for the season, sharing meals, attending games, and becoming part of a Paducah summer in a way that hotels could never match.
Without host families, Chiefs baseball would not exist in its current form. The connection between host and player often lasts long after the season ends.
What you provide
- Provide housing for the OVL season (roughly late May through July)
- Share a few weekly meals when possible
- Wi-Fi access and a parking spot
- Complete a short application and background check
